alphtran is an alphabetic transliterator. May be used to transliterate Cyrrilic or Greek alphabet to Romanic (Latine) (English) alphabet. Also German or Swedish textes in extended codeset (with special letters) into "simple" codeset (without "special" letters).
It was designed as part of WebX project.
