Attempts to obtain the Internet connection for Linux through the GPRS or EDGE with SGH-X680 were not lucky. Similar problem happens perhaps with several people.
The connection seems to be begun, the phone itself displays the icon about the Internet connection has been started, but connection does not work.
The solution was simple one more PPPD option:
asyncmap FFFFFFFF
Thus may help with other phones as SGH-X660, to communicate them with the recently most popular as for free distributed operating systems supplied PPPD.
However to find this simple solution I cheked out lots of technical documents, discussed it, and spent about 3 months. As it was promised I publish here the solution.
